Renovation

When other hotels seek progress in building more rooms, we simply seek perfection, staying always small in size. Renovation is not a temporary phase for ammos hotel, it is literally a way of life. Since we first opened, in 1996, we never stopped ameliorating the hotel by adding new facilities, or improving our already existing ones, but most of all by investing in the mind-smoothing and rejuvenating effect of elegance and style.

Chic, elegant, stylish but not pretentious or uselessly hip were the guidelines of our 3 sequential year renovation which was completed in March 2008. A major contributor to this was the young but quite well known architect and interior designer Elisa Manolas, who brought an eclectic "neo-Greekness" to the traditional forms of an island hotel.

The blue of the Cretan sea and the white of sun reflections has, in an unexpected way, been fused with the cubist, graphic lines, the 70s Scandinavian influences, the sci-fi tiles, the stone mosaics (stones were found in rivers and collected one by one), the unprocessed wooden panels, the beton-brut surfaces and the meticulously organized gardens.
