With 33 refurbished rooms and suites overlooking the Cretan Sea our intimate, independent hotel has one of the highest numbers of repeat visitors of any hotel in Greece. Regular fans keep returning for the service, exceptional value and the striking, contemporary interiors designed by acclaimed Greek architect Elisa Manola and hotelier Nikos Tsepetis. Every year, Nikos - a passionate design aficionado who often travels to a city just to discover a new interiors shop - surprises his guests by "revisiting" parts of the hotel. In 2012 he completely revamped the lobby and restaurant, a breezy open-plan space that opens up to a seaside terrace. The latest addition is an impressive collection of mismatched dining chairs, ranging from mid century modern classics by Prouve and Tapiovaara, to Ercol, the Brazilian Campanas and the novelty of fresh designers like Francois Azanbourg, Adam Goodrum, Nendo and Tom Dixon. This eclectic collection, which echoes the ethos of the hotel's overall design concept, is offset by a colourful Bisazza wall mosaic, arabesque tiled floors, a cabinet of curios sourced from local flea markets, and specially commissioned wall plates by the extraordinary artist Konstantinos Kakanias.
